In December 2025, the last batch of chemical injection skids customized and developed by FST for the BAPCO Upstream EPCC gas compressor stations successfully passed the FAT. The achievement of this project milestone marks the successful completion of the design and production tasks of the chemical injection skids for this project, adding solid strength into the promotion of China-Bahrain energy cooperation and the construction of the Bahrain’s natural gas engineering projects.

Bahrain
The EPCC project of gas compressor stations jointly operated by collaboration between Jereh Oil&Gas and BAPCO Upstream is the largest project that a Chinese enterprise has entered into the oil and gas sector of Bahrain since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Bahrain. The project covers 6 compression stations and 1 compression facility. Upon completion, the project will significantly enhance the development and utilization of Bahrain’s natural gas resources. FST’s participation in providing core equipment not only demonstrates its technical strength and brand recognition but also marks another milestone in expanding its international strategic layout.

The Chemical Injection Skid
The chemical injection skids, as a critical equipment in the natural gas processing process, are mainly used to inject chemical agents into the system to protect the mechanical integrity of the system from accelerated corrosion, prevent scaling, and control the formation of hydrates. It directly affects the safety, stability and long-term operation efficiency of the production system. FST provides the entire process solution for this project, including design, manufacturing, testing, FAT and service of the chemical injection skids. Facing the extreme operating conditions of high temperature, high pressure and high corrosion in Bahrain, relying on the technical accumulation and project experience gained from years of deep research in the high-end oil and gas equipment field, FST carried out a customized design based on the specific operating conditions and stringent standard.

The chemical injection skids integrate core components such as high-precision metering pumps and adopt a modular integrated design, achieving the features of convenient installation, intelligent operation, and efficient maintenance. The chemical injection skids customized for this project have several technical advantages:
1.The metering accuracy meets industrial-grade requirements, with multi-mode closed-loop regulation ensuring the system stably outputs rated pressure and flow.
2.Corrosion and wear-resistant materials are used, and the structural design enhances stability, guaranteeing the normal operation of pumps, motors, and precision instruments in high-temperature, flammable, and explosive hazardous areas.
3.Liquid level instrument signal control enables linkage between tank liquid level and pump operation status, with the pump automatically stopping when the tank liquid level reaches the low-level alarm line.
4.Pressure instrument signal control ensures linkage between system pressure and pump operation status, with the pump automatically stopping when system pressure is excessively high.
5.Double-diaphragm hydraulic metering pumps are equipped with pressure transmitters to detect pressure changes caused by diaphragm rupture, triggering interlocking pump shutdown in a timely manner and activating standby pumps;
6.The liquid level transmitter of the chemical tank can be set with high-high level alarms, interlocked with audible and visual alarm components to remind on-site operators refilling the tank with chemicals and prevent tank overflow.

FAT
FST completed the entire design and production of the chemical injection skid within half a year. During the factory testing phase, FST worked closely with multiple experts to conduct comprehensive and rigorous tests on the functionality, safety and stability of each skid-mounted equipment. All indicators met the requirements and were highly recognized by the customers.
